Law school is hard and stuff...
It has been quite a while since I have communicated with the outside world. I am really supposed to be reading/briefing a case for my civil procedure class right now so I will make this real quick. I know that there are few that have been checking Jason and my blogs regularly and we have not been writing regularly. Hello to Granny and Gran! I cannot believe I have been in school two weeks. It actually feels like a year and I am a little in denial that I will be doing this for 3 years. This is definitely the hardest thing I have undertaken. Its too bad I am a slow reader although I am definitely improving, along with my typing. My professors are all nice and relatively entertaining, some more than others. Not a big fan of contracts, mostly because I don't really understand it much. I like torts a lot and civ pro is pretty interesting. My legal writing class just became way overwhelming this last week. We have started on our first big assignment due on the 19th. This assignment leads us up to our grand finale writing assignment that is our only grade at the end of the semester.
Jas started school last week. He is teaching at a high school only 3 miles away. He has two classes of geometry and two classes of algebra II honors...so fancy. I think he is really going to like it, plus this school is much more stable than his last one. Thank God for that! Well I would love to write more but my time is captivated by the law. On a good note, I do know what words like ratio decidendi and sua sponte mean now. I really am enjoying school and it is fun getting to know new people. I am already forming a good group of friends and started playing on a softball team yesterday...man am I sore today! I know I will survive this first year, it is just not always easy to believe. I hope everyone is doing well. Drop me an e-mail and let me know how things are going! I am trying to use this one now> jocelynfowler@gmail.com
Love to all...keep us in your prayers
Peace
